Home Information Packs

From 14 December 2007 every home put on the market in England and Wales with three or more bedrooms needs a Home Information Pack (HIP). A HIP brings together key information needed by buyers and sellers at the very start of the home-buying process; it must include:

It will also include additional information for leasehold and commonhold sales, if appropriate, and may contain other information that would be of interest to a potential buyer e.g. an environmental or flood risk search.
